Well.....bein an ex-sailor I've got a certain cat in mind wiv nine tails and I was thinkin of a special treatment for the leather.....lighter fluid. So if we did this thing near the fire pit and there happened to be a fire goin, it just might throw some sparks. That'd be entertaining!! Have'ta get me a patch over one eye, just to get me aim right. AAAArrrrrrrrrr.....there be three things which are wonderful to me...the way of an eagle in the air.....the snake on a rock and the way of a ship in the midst of the sea....aaaarrrrrhhhhh....

tenaciously
Suz

Suz...I agree wholeheartedly with you first two "wonders"...but not the third, I get horribly seasick.

When I go hunting I find nothing more calming or relaxing than watching a Wedge Tail Eagle (Wedge Tail Eagle) riding the thermals, looking for a meal...and a snake on a rock, soaking up the sun, is also a sight to behold...beautiful.

The two short videos, on the bottom of the page in the link, are taken in an area about 20 minutes drive from my place.

Getting back onto topic...I had a look at my torque wrench and considered a way of attaching it to my press arm, just an idea, but it looks like the only way I could do it would be to drill, tap and insert a bolt I could connect to...not that keen.

Cheers, Vince

That was actually a quote from the book 'Tenacious' by Julian Stockwin. If you like seaworthy stories he's got some great ones. Kimchi chocolate? I don't think so....well how about the stuff the Filipinos eat called balut. It's an almost hatched chicken cooked and put in a jar for all eyes to see and eat, sometimes they call it day-old, can be pickled or deep fried supposed to be yummy too. We had a guy in our shop (when I was Naval) that used to eat a jar of balut about once a week. Don't know where he got it from but he really savored it and loved to irk the rest of us. He'd try and put the whole thing in his mouth and let the head stick out or a leg and walk around freaking people out. It looks nasty in a jar too. They eat chicken guts and curdled chicken blood, yummy with some fried onions. Hows about this

Suz, the Filipines is the only time when I saw a rat coming to have a look at the menu in a restaurant. I still remember that we were eating somekind of soup when I saw the servants looking above our heads... there was a big rat with a rather long neck looking down to our table. Or she was looking at the remainings of her family in our soup, or she was looking to the menu, to discover what kind of left-overs she could expect, or she was showing herself to increase the amount of left-overs...
The mind of a rat is full of surprises... Smile

Not a hope in creation would I even remotely consider even thinking about eating that...I would rather let it hatch then dress and cook it. Even the thought makes me feel violently ill. I reckon its true what they say...some Asians would eat sh1t if it was cooked properly.
