Sell it mate...if you can't afford it, then that is probably your best option.

Maybe this is SPAM...not sure yet.

The reason for the housing bubble bust is just that. People who buy a house that they can not afford and then expect ME to pay for it.

Spam or not...SELL IT. Shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

Welcome to the Nut !!!

There have been so many in recent times that have fallen victim of this situation.
With a little understanding as to how your county/district/local assets the tax it is easy to understand a simple way to lower your tax burden.

Your property tax is based upon variables that apply to your land.
For example, the value of any structures on the land such as a house, garage, barn or other out buildings. In general the higher the value of these structures the higher the tax will be.
Next is the neighborhood or land that surrounds you.
If your neighbors own lavishly expensive homes it drives the value of the neighborhood up therefor increasing the property tax of the area.
Schools are another area that drives property taxes up.
Where I live we are in the process of building a new K-12 campus, in return they've only levied my property an additional 20%........what a bargain compared to other districts around me !!!

Ok now that you have an understanding of how it works now it's time to lower that burden.
First, burn your house and all out buildings to the ground then ask the auditor to re-asses your land.
This will make a drastic decrease in your burden simply because you'll be paying on land only.
Next with the money you save buy up a bunch of junk cars and motors, strategically place them throughout your neighborhood. This will in-turn drive the value of your surroundings down and in a year or two ask for another assessment to be done. ( a few old toilets and bath tubs with artificial flowers is a good added touch )
As for the school I think your stuck with that one..........to many federal laws get in the way of making any serious changes there.

Hope I've helped....... have a good day !!! Very Happy

Now nicolenik...Would you like to introduce yourself and try it again?

We are reasonable people on here and want more people to particpate in and on the forum.

We do get a little suspisious when you make an entry like that on your first post.

Very suspicious given this is a hunting forum, not a property tax forum.

But as Chambered said, lower the value of your property and your neighbours properties and your tax will go down. Otherwise, sell your place and no more tax on it.

If you sell it, but continue to live it in, doesn't the law say it's yours anyway (possession is 9/10's of the law).

I take my tax advice from the Revenue Agency, usually after they send the final notice LOL.

Well I’m pretty skeptical, recently bought a house and didn’t know what the taxes were. SPAMMER, if we hear from him again I will humbly apologize.
