Yup and good point- this one is my mountain shotgun. I've had it less than a year and almost lost it once down a hole in the chukar hills. This thing gets worked and worked hard with minmal love. $180.00, 5 pounds, other than one blown hunt due to a major malf from debirs under the magazine latch forcing a field strip it's been on. It's a Turkish claw hammer, no rib to snap off etc. Don't look like this now it's pretty scracthed up etc.

man I still cant see why so tight a choke?? imp cylinder should be any amount tight enough for the furtherest range you are stating and give you more lee way. |
Here's another one I use for upland once in a whiles...cyl bore, no choke but I use medium heavy stuff like 3 and 4 lead maybe 00 if they aint holding and it rolls Jacks at what I'm guessing is 25-30y at least. They dont get up if I connect with this old Winchester and man Elvis is this action slick. So yes, I agrees with ya on the a lil opener is better with the heavy stuff. This one made a believer outa me on that subject as others said no way you'll get nothing with that no-choke short tube and my bag was always full. I love this one with all my heart it's kind of a safe queen though so...but I'll grab it first when the fur hits the fan it holds 7, 3" ones. I think you 'n me 'ld have some fun huntin' together mate.
