Sorry to hear of your loss.
I too experienced a loss. On Friday last, my dog Doc had to be put down.
I have had Doc since I got out of the Hospital after my first heart attack.
Doc was with me for 13 years. He was a wonderful companion and a great hunter. I miss him greatly.

Sorry for the both of you in this loss .
I am old enough to have had my heart broken several times over some scruffy furry tail wagger and to this day when I think back on any of them my eyes start to blur up some. Dont know that we are ever supposed to just " get over it ". They're like our kids and even better than our kids at times Very Happy . Hope he gets feeling better about this soon and gets another pup.

Sorry to hear about you pooch WildHorse. It is hard to lose an old friend like that, young or old it is hard to "get over" our furry little friend.

Ol' Jake saw his last sunrise today. He was with us for 16 years. The love they give outweighs the sorrow at their loss.

Sorry to hear Mike, it is amazing the amount of love they bring into a family.

May we all become the kind of person our dogs believe us to be.
Unconditional love wrapped in fur that runs and jumps and watches us to lead.
When my last two dogs died (of old age) I decided that I didn't want to get another - I am just too old to give an animal the 18+ years of love and devotion that they would give to me.
My loss... I may change my mind someday...

To each and everyone of us who has lost a furry mate...my sincere condolences. Paul's words sum it up perfectly...
