You might have to take every account with a grain of salt (that's what they're betting you'll do) but there's lots of easy access to real information and the earlier you get to it the more likely you'll get the true account. Choose you're news reports wisely, do your research, look at both sides of the story, but look early because politics and hurt feelings will edit it all too soon for you to hear the truth. If you sit back and wait for the story to be cut to shreds, leaving only what (they) think is information you should be aware of, then it's too late. It's already been through the ringer, edited and censored to the point of pablum fit for the meek, uneducated, ill-informed public (they want you to be).
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” Governments need not be tyrannical or oppressive if the people are so willing to silence themselves without compulsion. Edmund Burke said “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing” which is as true today as it ever was. The same goes for the news media, if they sit back and keep silent, all will be taken care of without them helping. If they would only de-politicise their views and report instead of editorialize and opinionate to agree with their station's standings. We have to do that ourselves, there's no way that my opinion is their opinion. No one answers questions given to me better than I do. The politicians want to be our sounding board for their political gain and that's not how the game should be played. They are not there to help themselves, and they are not there to be our nannies slapping our behinds.
The government we have is not about to open the magic doors and reveal what's inside, because it would be the biggest fall you could ever imagine. These news reports, stories, whatever you want to call them have to be deciphered and analyzed, scrutinized beyond what the average news article should be taken as to find the truth. There's more going on behind the scenes but we won't ever know the whys and hows of the workings if we sit back and wait for the truth. You'll never know the truth, it's not meant for your eyes and ears, it's only meant for those in power so they can attain whatever monumental legacy they have in mind. It's certainly your prerogative to disbelieve what you hear but when you think about the pre-election campaign of our current prez. and how you didn't quite think he meant the things he said, or the way it was meant to sound or maybe he just got the thought mixed up or is it because he's black and maybe he's a better thinker than that and I'm mixed up a bit.....you know? The things that were said (and still being said) were astonishingly blatant truths about what he had in mind to do. I say they were blatant because anyone in their right mind wouldn't have thought they'd have a snowball's chance in hell to win a campaign with such negativity about the USA or the fact that he said our energy costs were going skyrocket and we needed to get around that age old worn out constitution or at least update it a bit along with our views on fundamentally changing our health insurance our schools our income and whatever else he had in mind.
He meant what he said and we sat on our haunches thinking he didn't. Then he got voted in a second time for the same reason. We sat back and thought it wouldn't take much to beat him, he's screwed us so badly nobody could ever vote him in again. Guess what? When you say nothing, you're saying everything. We didn't speak loudly enough and we got a bullhorn in our ears telling us it's too late now. In for a ride! Welcome to Disney Land, please enjoy all the rides.
This just in;
Forty-two Democrats have signed their name to a constitutional amendment that would give Congress the power to muzzle Planned Parenthood and the National Right to Life,” he said. “42 Democrats have signed their name to giving Congress the right to muzzle the Sierra Club, to muzzle the the National Rifle Association and the Brady Center on Handgun Violence. To muzzle Michael Moore and Dinesh D’Souza. To muzzle the Teamsters and the National Education Association. To muzzle the NAACP. To muzzle the Anti-Defamation League. To muzzle pastors and priests and rabbis who organize their parishioners to be involved in politics.
I'm not surprised, I'm amused that the opposition has to squat to pee. It's pure fodder for their downfall, it'll go no-where........will it?

“I don’t believe any of this,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
This is one time in 15 years in South Carolina that I agree with Lindsey, but please don't tell him. He is a ----- ---- ------- (the spaces are right for the words I deleted, but you can fill in your own) RINO who says one thing and then votes another way, and if he does not get voted out this time, I hope he gets a big ole runny canker sore right on the end of his nose. He is South Carolina's Harry Reid.
Our Government has known where Bergdahl has been the whole time he was a POW, we can go into Pakistan and land in a private walled yard and take out OB Laden, but we can't send anyone in to get Bergdahl. Because they might kill him, they would kill the biggest coup since the twin towers and stop an event that will embarrass the oh, we don't negotiate with terrorists USA for years. I don't think so, this had nothing to do with Bergdahl just another slight of hand by our apparently unimpeachable ----- ---- ------- president.
Again I am glad he's back. The reports I'm reading do not make me feel very sympathetic towards him, but still I reserve judgement till the whole story is out.
I barely got of of Nam the last day I was there. It was shear luck the the copter spotted me and the NVA were very close behind. I would like to believe that I would not have done anything to embarrass myself or my country if I had been taken, but since it did not happen I can never know for sure. And, so I am trying to give the kid the benefit of the doubt, for now.
