I think we should fine those who produce more than a ton of CO2 a year. Do you know who produces more than half the CO2 each year?
Bugs! Mostly ants and termites. Then those rotten volcanoes - they dump tons of CO2 into the atmosphere in minutes, then forest fires and rotting vegitation. Mother nature also makes Ozone with every lightning strike. and then you have to remember methane - the biggest greenhouse gas there is!
The scientists are right though, we are in a global warming trend and have been since the last ice age. And on top of that, the sun is getting hotter each year. Before you know it (about two billion years) we will have no oceans or lakes, no rain or rivers and all the plants will die off - and then earth will either melt or be vaporized in the heat - with no atmosphere at all.
I am sure that a carbon tax will remedy all of that...

I'm trying to cool my heals on getting politics bound (very hard to do) but I have to say I certainly agree Chambered. It's as if there actually is another species and it's so different and at the same time so much like the rest of us, that it's hard to distinguish one from another until you hear the language.
I'm convinced it's taught in school. I have a few sisters that work in schools and from what I've learned from them is, it ain't what it used to be. They don't teach cursive writing (how do they sign their name?), math class includes a calculator and no memorization (what happens at a job when the batteries run out?) history class is totally upside down all over the place and very politically correct, spelling? who cares? make up your own words and spellings, if it's slang, that's ok it'll be in the dictionary along with it's proper usage.
We wouldn't want to ruin someone's day and tell them they're wrong, so forget about grading, forget about any punishments or consequences just happy-happy-happy like the duck commander says. Am I upset? Yeah! I never had it so easy in school! Work work work and never good enough kept me on my toes for fear of being a dummy. New high school grads around here can't spell, read or do math....then on to college where the computers do the work for them.
Free gobmen't money from the corporate giants puttin out their fair share (I guess that's how it's supposed to be). Dumb everyone down a few knocks and they'll be feeding out of the pig trough with no one to support them. It's worked that way in other places, it should work that way here.
Reminds me of the first Russian immigrants we received after the cold war was over. They were lost and grumpy because nothing was free in the land of the free, they had to work for it and decided Russia was better. Well it isn't better and nothing is free. Our way now is to educate the masses that the government is there to take care of us, that's why we pay taxes and why we need more taxes. When taxes are making you poorer you blame those that have more and demand that they suffer like the overtaxed do, you make them the enemy and demand that they share the wealth.
It's never ever worked and it's always been used in dictatorships. Let's get friendly with Cuba, those people are suffering, let's move some new business over there and help them out...in a neighborly sort of way, so that the people won't be suffering. How the freekin hoot did they ever get that way? Treating the symptoms and not the cancer doesn't cure the cancer. We must like cancer. We're getting pretty potent with cancer ourselves.
Did somebody say something bad about our attitude? quick change to deflated footballs and is Bruce Jenner a cross-dresser? or gay? or does he just look funny(ish). Was he texting while driving? Cuba? What? Oh well we're moving in the right direction and supporting our new brothers....yeah Jenner has some plucked eyebrows or something goin on.....Cuba again? well the average wage over there is like 477 pesos ($20) a month, they could use some help and I guess good ole Russia has decided to help too, they just sent some aid in the form of nuclear subs or some-such, no biggie....prob won't see it on the news even....yeah ole Jenner walks funny too, wonder if he was hurt..................

And the advantage? You can get the same bullet velocity while using less powder... Slimjim with get good ruling on this matter at the end, but at this moment he could use some help to heat up his rounds... maybe Suz...
