Took "shorty", "Boomer" and my 1911 out for a shoot, with, my neighbor at the shop next door with his new Cabela's 300 Sharps, he got it and cash in trade for a jet ski. Nice lil spot, super short though, only 120y. But it's 3 mins. away.
Also been making targets again....AR500 gong hung with 3/8" rebar, 5/8" legs. This ones a 12", got others, too. Also whipped up a quick paper stand for zero and load work. it breaks down into nothing in 2 seconds, and, the little feet on the 4x4 spin flush under it for transport.
Got a new winery next door- former Navy Seal makes it, all organic. 16%, out of interesting stuff like Ocotillo Blossoms.
Anywho- busy busy busy...comon October!
Luv yall!!! (even Grampypants)

Where you been?? Ocotillo blossoms...we used to pull them off and you can squeeze a little honey out of the blossom between your tongue and front tooth. I bet the wine is interesting. Sahuaro cactus fruit is good for jelly, I bet you could make wine with that too, or prickly pear fruit. You makin those targets for sale? Nice lookin work you did on them. Good lookin pair o weenies!

misses you

still alive and well?
Have you been killing the pipes of your central heating system to make targets?
Shooting sausages now? You should try them with horse-radish (not the shooting, just the eating!)

Nice stovey, love that Sharps. Target stands look great too. Cheese and mushrooms on a dog??? Real mustard (not that bright yellow cr@p) and onions, keep it simple.

Fun-n-games all 'round....as usual!!!
Well, we took it out but the 45-70 was really pushing it around, after I raised for shooting off hand (last pic). Usually these are in the weeds for prone. So looks like I found a weakness after raising it. Odd, the .308 stops dead on it, the 45-70 rocks it, hard. It's a 15# plate too. So I studied some other designs. Then put the cross-bar in the press. I also removed the eye-bolts and just looped the rebar through the gas pipe, as the eye bolts were getting wangedled open. Problem solved.
