What a tragic situation. European authorities say that over 5,000 people have left Europe to attend radical training camps in the Mideast and then returned to Europe. The only way to stop terrorism is to kill the terrorists. All the best...

Here no problems at all. I live in the flemish part of Belgium and I try to avoid the big city, even the airports and I don't use trains. I think I've seen what I wanted to see in the world, certainly seen enough to enjoy the time I spend with my dog on the high seat (where I'm even allowed to use my rifle!)

And in my opinion: as long as they stay in Brussels where they can find most of the politicians who try to make it so difficult for all their citizens to have and use guns...
and when they stay away from my family, friends or dogs...

I think you'll understand.

I know and I'm feeling sad for all victims, their friends and family, but I'm also feeling angry for these stupid people in all our governments who just put the door wide open for all this evil to enter.

Aloysius, why is it Belguim that the terrorists are targeting? Is it because they believe that the country is an easy target? NOT! (You have one of the finest counterterrorist organizations in the world.) Or is it to draw attention away from somewhere else? I really don't understand it.

In my opinion it's because our politicians gave their souls (and their soles) so that Belgium could become the capital of Europe.
And I shouldn't only blame our politicians: these men were no terrorists but just criminals! And they already spend some time in yail, but our justice system let them free long before they served their time. In our land, criminals get better treathment in yail then our older people who worked and paid taxes all their life. So yailtime is rather expensive and when you have to cut costs... nobody even dare to suggest to make an agreement with Putin to send them to Siberia to do their time... it would also cut costs AND it would scare criminals...
as my late-mother used to say: "Parents who refuse to use the whip, hate their children". I never completely understood how wise my mother was... but adding years to my age seem to help a lot.

The big problem to solve such problems: how to separate the good from the bad without using the bad's tactics?

Thats a very good question. Sadly people seem to want to debate the means being used (guns etc) rather than the causes (hatred, religious extremism etc).

Smile Your answer is not what I expected. That being said, I think you gave me a very wise and informed answer. My dad is from the old country Bremen. I have heard him say the same thing as your mom said. Dallan I agree with you 100%. Thanks both of you. Smile

It's getting close to the time to take the gloves off when dealing with these terrorist swill.
They think they go to Paradise as a suicide bomber, time to change that perception, time to video and post on IS web sites scrapeing the remains of their idiot bombers up, throwing them in a garbage bin and then feeding them to starving feral pigs.
No Paradise for you, no 72 virgins, you're pig shit for eternity.
Cant see the hand wringers in the EU doing that however, too soft.
