The reason I ask is that one of my other favorite sites, reloadersnest.com is in a death spiral due to its needing a server and the owner has no funds.
This is a great site, but there is no advertising, and Dallan gives PointBlank away for free.
I would hate for this site to find itself in the same situation as reloadersnest. The atmosphere here is as good as any enthusiast site on the net, and the people are always helpful and friendly. The sight setup is easy to use and well laid out. I'd like for HuntingNut to be around for a long time!

HuntingNut.com is in no forseeable danger of going away. Its been a good fun hobby and has some uses to myself beyond just being a website (having your own mail server, a place to transfer files to that are accessable to other computers easily, is invaluable).
That said, for 5 years or so I completely funded the site myself. About what, a bit over a year ago I got talked into putting a "donations" system on the site that anyone can donate through. I've been humbled by the number of people who donate their hard earned money to help defray costs and support the site. Some donate $5, some donate $25 ... it all helps. Typically January is the biggest expense month so between January and Febuary the monthly donations "goal" is higher than the rest of the year.
Currently our monthly traffic is increasing at a rate of about 7-8% per month but we have had some big traffic increases over the previous year which is double the previous year. Thats good news as it means the site is popular! Its also good news in that my webhost are also a great bunch of guys and as they try to remain competitive in the webhost business, they keep up'ing our plan for the same monthly price.
Right now we get 1.5gig of webserver space with 70gig of monthly transfer per month. We are using up just shy of 1gig of hd space and transfer rates are well under our alotment at 13gig per month. What that means is we still have alot of room to grow, before we are forced into upgrading plans and getting even more specialized dedicated servers.
Long story short, HuntingNut is doing great, and will continue to survive with or without donations. But for those that wish to continue to lend a hand, donations are gratefully accepted.
Site note: I have records of every single person who has donated... hopefully someday I can give something back beyond just offering the website. I know people have suggested hats or something like that. Its on my list as something I'd like to do.

I think you've done plenty already Dallan, just keepin' us hanging together (and occassionally keeping us from killing each other, LOL) thanks for all the work.

I have to agree Dallan. You put this site together, put Point Blank together, maintain and upgrade both as necessary....and all out of the goodness of your heart.
Mate, I for one agree wholeheartedly with Tracker. We are a blessed bunch by the fruits of your labour.
Cheers, Vince

Reloadersnest.com is now down, supposedly from an attack. Could be a coincidence or just a shut down at the end of the month for lack of funds.
Unfortunately there are very few real reloading sites left on the net.
Dallan,
I need a way to send you a donation, for real. I do not and will not use Paypal. I am one of the folks that filed a complaint with the Dept of Justice against Paypal. I swore I would never use them again. Do you have a PO Box?

What the...? I had edited the donations screen and put in mailing info for those who dont use paypal... somehow it got lost, perhaps on the upgrade. I'll see if I cant get time today to edit it again.

I think the wssm zone forum is gone also. It just disappeared one day???
I wondered how it and the other forums were funded also. I guess if we enjoy these forums we should throw a few bucks in once in a while. I just did not know,..? Pay pal makes easy for me.
Cheers,. Fish

Welcome rpfisher...Vince voiced my sentiments quite nicely...As big as this site is getting we still try to keep that "small town" feeling here...
