Anybody else following this case?

This is a very unfortunate case of the BATF overstepping its purpose and getting out of hand, I was hoping things at that agency were better in the post-clinton years but that does not appear to be the case. This should be of great concern to all firearms owners, as the arcticle states, even if an old double shotgun malfunctions and fires both barrels with one trigger pull, it is a machine gun in BATF eyes.

Roklok, I've seen that story but no recent updates. Pretty pitiful work by the BATF at any rate.

Legally, the BATF is a tax collection agency. They have no constitutional authority to decide the legality or the illegality of contraband; their lawful duty is to collect taxes. The fact that the executive branch and Congress not only let them get away with this type of shenanigan, but actually encourage it, makes the White House and Congress complicit in the violation of rights.

In order to correct this particular situation, there is going to have to be specific legislation introduced to address malfunctions and intent.

It is really sad to see what the former "land of the free" has become.

Thats a bunch of crap It's sad that there aloud to get away with this kinda stuff. If anything new comes up about this please post it.
