Before anybody gives President Bush a rough time in the future, remember that he appointed the last two Justices.
If gore or kerry would have been President, there would have been a different ruling.

Now let the law suits begin on anyone that would infringe on our second ammendment rights,with the internet as our communication medium-we can really put a hurt on these anal politico's!

ElyBoy highlights an important aspect of the Presidency, appointing Supreme Court Justices with consent. But, let's not forget poor Borke and the drubbing he took. Still on this one issue alone, the Bush Court elevates his Presidency to a much higher level than many predecessors.

Bushy's comments about components and ammo, too, needs underscoring. Prohibition of lead, added taxes, types of ammo available, magazine restrictions will be some of the tricks the antis try.

Still four of the Justices voted to overturn intent and design of the Second Ammendment. The dissent statements will be as critical as the affirming statements in understanding that even at the highest court in the land some of the Justices have no moral compass. Two of these liberal ambulance chasers will leave the court during the next presidential term and I sure hope McCain is the one to appoint their replacements.

And, kudos to Kennedy for his swing vote. It was critical and predictable on this issue.

So -- two really bad court decisions have occured (child rape and terrorist rights to our legal system) and one really substantial one on the SA, the latter being the most important court decision since Roe V Wade, hopefully, soon to be overturned IF McCain makes it.

I guess sometimes the system works. I am relieved to see that it was decided that individuals still have the right to use guns in self defence. I am wholey concerned that the decision was only 5-4! What ever happened to the "Learned and impartial" judges of the supreme court?
