Well, you know that they tell us that we will eat anything on our plate if we are really hungry and I don't know that I can argue with that!!!! Somethings that sound horrible might actually be delicious if we ate and knew not what we ate!!!!

The hardest part of eating "exotic" foods is getting your head wrapped around the idea. It is surprising what texture and taste have to do with what we like or don't. I eat avacados in the half shell, in salads and with nachos. I had to work to eat my first taste of monkey.... seeing it on the spit before I ate was the problem - it looked like a baby being cooked.

Vince, you are right about turtle and I would never turn down turtle meat!! The first time I ever ate it we had some neighbors over for dinner many, many years ago. Karen,my missus, was kind of uncertain and negative, but when we started on our first piece, just to be polite, we ended up by eating the whole platter full!!!!!
All of this talk about food is good forme and I have really been enjoying it!! A big part of the reason is that I go to the clinic tomorrow and confrim that I probably have lime disease which has killed my appetite.
It is either lime or rhuematoid arthritis, and after reseaching we are prety sure of lime. Will know for sure in a couple of days!!

Might have to try it no garrentees though. Biggest issue with them being like soap is that it reminds me of getting my mouth washed out with soap when I was younger hence why I know how Irish Springs tastes like.
