I pray for that everyday, but since so many other things have not even slowed him down I don't expect that will either.

But, if it did, and there was a race riot, what a kick in the balls that would be for the liberal elite, might even make them rethink their position, that is assuming they have the capacity to think. Very Happy

You are right about Lincoln - the first president to stomp on the constitution. The next was FDR. Every president since FDR has, as his first act, signed the "Presidential Powers Act". In effect stating the nation is in a state of emergency and the people need to be "protected" and "taken care of". Electing republicans keeps the status quo and nothing gets better. The down ide is that everytime the democrats get back in control the system goes down hill again. We will never catch up with what is going on until we force the greatest enemies of the United States out of power with our votes or in the worst case in civil war. I choose to vote because the other is unthinkable but as we slowly lose our God-given rights it may be inevitable. In the first civil war the states gave up their sovereignty and it has gone down hill since then. Instead of the people and the States controlling the feds - they are now controlling us and the states we live in. They do this in direct conflict of the constitution without challenge. Why? Most of the folks in the US like being taken care of - and they like having someone else to blame.
I want to take back my rights - to take back my state and my country. I know that will never happen with the two parties that we tout as the "only choice". We have a good choice if we all get together and decide to make it work.
If the feds wanted to they could walk in and take everything we have - one at a time and get away with it. No one would believe that they would take criminal action against someone - they would assume that the person broke some law or were terrorists. To admit that the government would take action against the population is just too scary to admit to. It would mean that they are no longer protected by the government but slaves of it. DUH! Most citizens are too fat and lazy to care and it doesn't stop at the liberals. The federal government has been acting unlawfully since 1939 and we are growing accustomed to it.
So sit back and relax - until they come for you - just like in all the other civilizations that have fallen before us.

The main reason why the Roman Empire fell was immorality .We must stop any evil if we want God's blessing on our nation again

You sound like an Israelite from back in 95 CE!
God blesses people not nations. If you want to get rid of evil how are you going to do it? Who decides what evil to do away with? murderers? Rapists? thieves? tax cheeters? speeders? jaywalkers? where does it stop? Is anyone who is part of a different religion evil? how about a different life style or sexual preference?
You are talking about doing the God's job. He decides who is evil because He can see it while we can't. He can see the good in folks we don't even recognize as human. If you want God's blessings then live your life in love and acceptance just as His Son did. Accept others inspite of their religion as long as they love.
This country was never blessed with anything more than good people who lived and let live as long as no one was injured in any way. We have lost some of that and we need to get that back. We need to learn how to be good neighbors and good families. We need to judge people on actions not on some label.

Lester, I disagree with you.
Last Tuesday was a day that Americans can be proud of.

HOWEVER--Obama's first three days in office seem like ten years.

First--Federal funding for planned parenthood to tell little girls to murder their babies.

Then--Let's kiss a captured terrorist's ass when we capture them.

And--We REALLY aren't at war.

Methinks I will be much prouder in two years when we vote the Liberal Bastards out of Congress!!

Eric

PS--I am with Paul as far as not liking the Republicans much more than the democrats.
I pretty much vote Republican as a lesser of two evils.

Maybe we DO need Ted Nugent in office somewhere.

E.

Ok!! We all need to take a good hard look at who we are voting in at the local level. A lot of these Republican are really Democrats that can not get a vote as a Democrat. They run on the Republican ticket, but their ideals are not Republican.

Windy - I disagree with you and your "feelings." But that is OK, I put my live on the line for 28 years for you to be able to think the way you think. That is what made this country GREAT!! We have the brave men and women that have been laid to rest defending our rights to thank. They gave us the right, now we have the responsibility to use the brains God gave us to think things through and do the research before voting. There is a reason the majority of Democrats are lawyers. They have been taught to use language as a weapon. It is like you bringing a knife to a gunfight! You don't stand a chance.

PaulS - I strongly support a three party system for our government, I just don't know how to over come the masses and the schools.

Three or more party systems have historically not been so perfect either. In other countries, that use that system, they constantly have a vote for president and either elect someone with less than 50+ percent of the votes or have another runoff election, or have coalition governments, where pork barrel issues are a norm to get enough support from others in your coalition to pass your pork barrel issues. Or in our case, a Ross Perot type scenario that got us Bill Clinton for 8 years. Heck, we already have a total nightmare of crooked dealing in the state and federal governments. The Texas governor was elected to office with bout 39 percent of the votes. That means that 61% did not want him to be their governor! Let’s be careful what we wish for.

In my most humble opinion.

Cary

Multi-party systems ensure that no one can do anything without alot of a** kissing to the other parties who don't even think with the same objectives. Whats worse, is if the rest of the parties band together you'll end up with a election eventhough no one in the damn country wants it. Similar to our situation in government right now.

Or worse, instead of a election being called this "coalition" of 3 parties when combined only have 13% more seats, and only 55% of the popular vote installed as a government. All 3 parties attract different left-wing socialists and so called "centralists", with one catering to a single province. They are not even "similar" minded parties which is why many of the people who voted for them are against this. But this means .....

We will end up having 2 party leaders who are vocal and open terrorist supporters/a** kissers (one who is a party leader by default cause no one in their right mind would vote for him), and one party leader who's goal is to divide Canada in 2. If the Governer General doesn't call a election and decides to let the 3 parties run the government I forsee alot of problems.

You may not like the Republicans or the Democrats, you may not like Obama, but there is FAR worse out there. At the end of the Day Obama was elected, he has the right to try running government once. If people don't like him in a year and a half when the voting for Congress happens people will let him know. If they still don't like him he'll be out in 4 years. But at the end of the day he was democratically elected and as such "deserves" to be there no matter what our opinions are since the masses no matter how right or wrong they are decided they wanted him there. That is a democratic system.

A multi-party system however will allow 2 or more parties who on their own should not be running the government as they did not receive the majority (more votes then any other party not necessarily 50% + 1) of votes run the government. Now thats not democracy. Mad

The only way a 3 (or more) party system could work would be to have two elections. The first would select the top two candidates and the second would be between those two. Otherwise, as Cary points out, you have a "leader" who doesn't have the support of even half the people.

I am not as eloquant as all of you you, but, I have noticed that any time the same party has control, wether they be demoncrats or republicans, the country suffers.

You are spot on slots.
When the Republicans had control a few years ago, only bad happened, and the same will happen to the jackasses.
If we get hit by the bad guys, it will put the jackasses out of government for the next 20 years.
I hope that Obama listens to his advisors on the War front, because he does have a bunch of top notch people in place right now.

All of you guys have to look back in American History, and see what has been said by folks like us on both sides after losing an election.
We sound just like our Forefathers.
The way that our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution, this Country with survive and flourish because of the American Spirit, and the Constitution.
