Moving On in life.

Turn 18 in a few days. Looking to college for electrical engineering or police training.Not sure which or if I'm even going to waste my time .Applying for jobs. And best of all I can't wait to walk into a store and buy myself a axe or knife.

Don't be in a rush to grow up or older mate...enjoy your teens while they are here. Life is like a toilet roll mate...the further you get into it, the faster it goes.

Godd luck with your plans on going to College...you could do a helluva lot worse than get a trade qualification under your belt.

If you can afford to go on to some college I think you should. When I got an associate's degree in electromechanical years ago I was able to double my income and had a MUCH more enjoyable job!

I concur with the recommendation to go forward and persue the college education. It will pay dividends in the future.

Whittling mate, get a job you enjoy to do and you will never have to work for your entire life.
Don't be too much in a hurry to make up your mind, take your time and try them all.
Keep your mind broad and you will see much more opportunities.

Hers a bit of advice from law enforcement.
Get a career first before joining Police. If it all turns to custard you've got something to fall back on.
I'm telling my 19 year old the same thing at the moment prior to him joining the ranks. - don't know if the NZ Police ready yet for two of us though!!!!

Also as Vince said stop and enjoy life along the way.

I mean, I actually OWN a pair of boot that is OLDER than 18 years!!

I hear ya Pumpkinslinger. Except my brakes don't work and I can't seem to get it into reverse. And it's down hill from here on out...
