What is a walleye Marty...no bother...you've won me mate. Sounds like the BBQ to die for...with a couple of beers of course.

Well, the beers go without sayin' Vince.
Walleye is kind of like freshwater haddock, with a hint of a sweet hazelnut flavor. It has meat that cooks in large flakes like a good saltwater fish. The best part is the very large cheeks (between the eye and gill plate). These are the size of a decent scallop. The nutty flavor seems strongest in these, especially when lightly fried in butter.

Well ended up coming home after we lost all power at work, they are predicting 12"-18" snow for here tonight and tomorrow then -10F with wind chill down to -40F. Hopefully we won't loose power for a week like 3 or 4 years ago after ice storm took down poles, lines. Good thing for generators and dc/ac inverters.

-27F here this morning 8 inches of snow, so now I think it is about 56 or 58 inches for the year.
Well went to the fishing contest and we are now 3 for 3 , entered 3 and got skunked 3 time , but there is always next year. They only let in 100 to enter and out of the 100, 12 fish were weaghted. 12 inches of snow on the ice. So the fishing has been bad.

They are predicting this is going to be a big winter storm. 1500 miles of snow fall over a foot deep and loss of power. After hitting all the winter storms around the country in December, I'm enjoying a nice January. In CA this week enjoying 70F and sunshine. I will even miss the ice and snow in TX tomorrow.
Stay safe!

It was 67 here Sunday and never even got up to 40 on Monday, but at least we didn't get any precip. Hope all the Nuts in the midwest get through their storm OK.

I reckon you are right Trembles...if it hits the coast as a Cat 3 or Cat 4 it is going to be a very nasty blow. Fingers crossed for the people in its path.

Batten down the hatches! - I laid in a new Kerosene heater and moved a new pile of firewood into the garage with severe icing and over a foot of snow and 40 MPH winds for later on tomorrow and Wednesday - I fully expect to lose power for a while...
