if you have this delima you could get a new wife!!! but a cheaper option is to buy a crockpot. otherwise known as a slow cooker. its a ceramic dish and lid about 10ltrs with a heating outer that plugs into the wall socket. I put a duck / half goose etc in with a little water some seasoning at about 8am and turn on low. by 5pm its ready to eat and tender as. Whats that got to do with wife not liking the odour? put the crockpot outside with a extention cord out the window. no smell in the house= happy wife = happy hunter.

Crockpots are great!! Though the dinner goods in before you leave to work and supper is ready when you get home!

Bet the dog don't mind!
Freakin' outstanding idea and I'da never thought of that. Gonna try some duck hunting this coming season. Found a spot 90 mins from here, believe it or not, one can actually take a few home! It's a really obscure little spot I found quail hunting one day. I got skunked but kept hearing shots. Drove around the valley and found a SWA. Doods were scoring!

Hello Elvis,
Does she like anything cooked in the crock pot?
Is it only duck and goose she complains about?
Just a thought, could you cook chichen and tell her its duck.
To gauge a reaction to the cooker.
How about another room you can close off and easily ventilate?

OMG- white sauce, similar to horse raddish?, hotter the better.
Would the Camp Oven be the same as a Dutch Oven thingy? That would so do a brisket very nicely!
This topic has my seal of approval!

Ok, enough with the talk. You really didn't divulge your recipe other than "some seasoning". What are your ingredients that make it great?

slimjim a little [75mls] apricot bit on the side sauce is good. teaspoon of curry not bad. anything that takes your fancy. a wee wine probably will not go a miss either.

Ok Elvis, I may need some translation here. Does apricot bit = apricot brandy since you specified 75mls? wee wine = red wine?
