10 years doesn't seem that long... what makes me feel old is Dimitry was in school when he started posting here, now he's out of school, married and has kids.

The website first existed in around 1998'ish as one of those dumb hosted sub-sites on something like anglefire (I honestly cannot remember how I had that setup). I do remember the gawd awful "bullet" shaped buttons for navigation. But hey, it worked and some good people found it even then. Popgun (RIP!) found it even way back then. I consider him the "oldest" 'Nut member.

But lemme give you all a hearty thanks for sticking around and supporting it. We dont get a ton of posting traffic, but some really great folk visit here. Its been fun watching people from around the world chat about various things.

It's us who need to thank you Dallan. Without your constant work maintaining The Nut, your outstanding work in producing and updating PB and your hosting and welcoming all and sundry, HN would not exist and we would not be able to interact with magnificent people from all around the world.

I've met some, and made great friends of all on The Nut...had some great laughs and also the odd embarrassing moment (those bloody bolts), learned a lot from a number of very experienced and knowledgable people, but most importantly I've had a terrific experience...even learning to laugh at myself.

Your efforts and welcoming demeanour will never be forgotten mate...thank you.

I pretty much abandoned all the 'mainstream' shooting & hunting forums three or four years back, as they seem to suffer from being idiot magnets.
Here, a Brit shooting forum & a small private form of about 50 mates are the only ones I actually post to these days.
I'll visit elsewhere but not participate.
