To measure your draw length, determine the length of your arm-span in inches. Stand with your arms out and palms facing forward. Don't stretch when measuring. Just stand naturally. Have someone else help you, and measure from the tip of one middle finger to the other. Then simply divide that number by 2.5. The quotient is your approximate draw length (in inches) for your body size.

Do you think there method is accurate ?? Confused

If so I got a 29inch draw length. Very Happy

Ahhhh, No. wtf

The most accurate way is by a measuring bow. Other than that it has two other different ways which are...
1. By measuring from the web part of your thumb to anchor or
2. By measuring from your index finger's first nuckle to anchor
Two different measurements for people that have different anchor points.

I have been measured from from pro shops and from a Browning Archery Rep. and they all came up with 33".....Or what they like to call "Telephone Pole Length" Laughing

Edit to add.......

Oh......and according to that website, since i'm 6' tall my draw should be 29" Confused If that were the case, i couldn't even stick my tounge out to get an anchor point Wink

That site is NOT a reliable source of information!

It depends. After fooling around and trying to get it right, I finally went to an archery shop. I spent about two hours and got fitted up properly with a bow, arrows and all the accessories. I shoot a 2417 aluminum arrow 34 inches long. That's how I did it. All the best...

That measurement sucks. Its way off... it doesnt take into things like loop length... or if you are even using a loop. I like the tape measure method myself. My wife got measured at an archery shop that way with her arms and the final measurement was way off when we actually bought the bow.

I think i've been to only 2 shops in my area that have done that measurement.....they weren't in business very long either.
