I will be leaving for the Tulsa show next week. Will I be seeing any of you at the show?

You damn near go right by my place. I'm a bit north of the track you'll take. Waiting for the NRA show in St Louis, MO in April...

The NRA show is something to see if you have not been before. All the collectors associations put on the dog for the show and make up some really outstanding displays. The Colt, Winchester and Ruger guys always draw a crowd with some really rare guns.

I will be picking up two in Jackson, MS then off to Little Rock, over to Ft Smith, then to Tulsa. We are going to try and stop in N Little Rock on Thursaday and shoot a round of sporting clays.

The Tulsa show is something to see, I think the show last year was 4,200 plus tables.

The last time I went to the NRA show was in Seattle in the early '80s. It was big then. I can only amagin what it will be like this year...

I have a sister in Ft Smith...That would put you 150 miles or so South of me...Maybe a bit more at a guess...

Nah, I'm not going to the one in Tulsa, but I am going to the one in Swift Current, Sask next weekend and there won't be near that many tables.................. not even near 10% as many.

Flathead Valley NRA Gun Show March 30,31 & April 1st

Where in Tulsa are they are holding this event, is it at the IPE building or the Convention Center downtown?

The show is held every year at the OK state fair grounds in the AG building, which is one huge building of 11 acres. 11 acres under one roof and with AC is a big facility.

They say the 4,000 tables placed end to end would stretch 5.6 miles and if you looked at every table in the total time the show was open (18 hours), you would have just 16 seconds per table to look at the tables. If you see something and think it is a good deal, it will not be there if you go back for the item.

Like I said before, every gun nut should go, at least once. Oh, the rows are lettered and tables numbered so you can find a table again once you pass it. But since the alphabet has so few letters you get into multiple letters, like AAA 12, etc.

I am very familiar with the IPE building, I was born and raised in Tulsa.
Many fairs, truck shows, monster truck shows, rodeos and powwows in that building.
