saw that on the evening news over here too...
what was the go with accident victims that was mentioned??
it is a sad day when someone walks past a wee one in trouble all the same I know that as a parent I could not. If touching the child was likely to lead to future trouble I would have stood beside her and yelled fit to raise the dead untill someone who could help did. the P.C. brigade have alot to answer for.

I've always thought that the govt in China was the problem, not the people. Now I'm not sure.

I think that once the population gets too large, death became non consequential issue.
The thing that pops in mind is, Where the hell is the parent of the child?

Good point Geland, they certainly do have a different view on life.
The mother was apparently hanging out the washing.
Kids wandering off while mum/dad are busy and distracted is nothing new, I've had it happen to me, and it happens somewhere everyday. It ended sadly this time.
Theres an old saying "it takes a village to raise a child" glad my kids arent in "that" village.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this event, If she dies I recon the first driver is up for murder, no way he didnt see her. It will also be interesting to see if china adopts the Good samartain policy ( where you cant be sued regardless of outcome) many other countries have.
Been doing a bit of research and while Australia does have this it varies and its not a black and white area of law;

I can't imagine that any "law" would keep me from doing the RIGHT thing.

Shocking but not suprising.
What do you expect from a culture that embraces White Rhino horn as a medicine, amongst other endangered species like Sun Bear livers...
Life not under their immediate roof to most of them is worth about a bowl of rice in most places. And the Chicom Govt is about the most jackedup thing on this planet.
That's one of the sickest things I've ever seen. Hope the passers-by get theirs in spades in the end- sonner! I have a concience, screw the law. Man, I'm not sure what I'd do to the scum that simply walked past that little girl. I hope their God was watching.

Simply put; MONEY.
They make 90% of the stuff everyone buys. Try finding something that ISNT made in china, not easy.
They have undercut and annialated the wests manufacturing capacity, and WE let it happen. CEO's looking only at their bottom line and how big THEIR bonus will be. Why pay a western worker $30 an hour when I can pay a chinese 19 cents. Good business maybe, but the chickens are comming home to roost, when everyone is out of a job who is going to buy their crap then?
