weatherby 30-378 w/240 gr woodleigh ?

Anyone have any load data on the 30-378 weatherby with 240 grain woodleigh bullet. Most of my reloads are 180 and 200gr nosler partions with hogden 50-bmg powder. any suggestions on a good hunting load out to about 300 yds max.

Yeah, a .270 Win with a 130gr monolithic bullet from Barnes, Hornady, or Nosler.

That rifle you have it good to 500+ yards with the proper load. I would suggest a bullet from Barnes (TTSX) or Hornady (GMX). I have had good success with them. Nosler E-tip also has good reports. These bullets will stay together at the speeds your rifle will launch them at.

Jim,, I use the barnes and nosler bullets in the open fields , most of the shoots are in the 200-700 yard range. Wanting to try the woodleigh 240 gr. in the thicker brush where they may have to pass though limbs and saplings on the crp ground.
