The only bunnies I've seen of late are lots of squished ones on the road - a sure sign they've been blinded by myxy.
Not a wabbit to be seen on the four farms we hunt over & reports from others suggest it is the same for about 70 miles around.

the hares must be in making whoopy mode around here as groups of them are chasing each other around the paddocks. Im not seeing many singles but lots of groups of 3 or more.

I've got bunnies here in my back yard running rampant on the wifes garden, had to build a chicken wire fence around the garden to keep them out. The season here opened on the 3rd of this month and am heading out this weekend.

No bunnies anywhere near here. We're overrun with 'yotes.

Lady undt Gentlemens...and you too Bushy.
Took a break from all the pedal pushin' to go out and bust some bunnies. Got 2, missed 3, flushed a bunch WAY outta range, smart bastids. It was a text book perfect day after all the crappy weather we've had. Even our official State Flower came out for a hidy-do howdy ta you! Wow, epic epic day of chasing bunnies, ran 10 miles or more, fell flet on my face once, , thank God there wasn't any Mojave Greens where my puss planted and the ground was soft from all the rains. I'm also stoked as spring rains have been dumping here, AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! BIG BROODS!
Here's a shot of a couple that didn't get away. Big one- 50+ yard whack, at least, I stoped counting at 25 paces running after I tagged his behind when he stopped- I was tracking him with my red dot, held over and POP! Then ran over and finished. Farthest poke I've ever made with that dot by a long bit. Little one was similar but I held over just right and she was a head shot and did the jumping bean thing for a bit, one spaz had her face high to me and I had to duck! Clean missed my third one on a bad swing. Shouldda had him . Back straps were not damaged. Red dot died just as I made the truck on the last leg and my hip said ENOUGH!

And here's a shot of the mountains beyond bunny town....jumped a couple covey's too by accident....lettum go though. Naturally.
I love this place, I keep coming back. Been upland hunting here forever, I keep saying that, and that it's going fast but, and it is...and I need to move on to other spots, but it's home.... and it's days like this I remember why I keep coming back. This spot is my home hutning spot. My old man hit it up before me, he got me there, and I miss it when I'm gone too long from it.
Miss hanging out at the fire with ya'll. I'll keep in touch more I promise.
I know things are crazy all over with twisters and junk and my prayers go out to ya'll whov'e been affected.
