I don't know, it would probably be better to host you guys, then my and the wife's family in the same room. Laughing

myself and all my siblings did the "try before you buy" thing and so far touch wood all our marriages are still holding together and standing the test of time.
the whole lets go into a big church with hundreds of guests we hardly know and spend enough to buy or at least put a sizable deposit on a house scene just gives me the screaming poohs!!
my wife and I got hitched by a marriage celabrant in the botanicle gardens and had a good old "plate n crate" in the deerstalkers hall afterwards total cost was around$500.
If kiddies arent in the picture, my advice is dont be in a hurry to get all offical like, Ive seen too many relationships blown apart by the pressure of that band of metal.

Elvis, I have to agree.
I have friend who says: "Mariage is costing a lot of money, divorce is even costing more... but divorce is worth it!" Smile

and @ Dimitri a tip: maybe when you have your party in Greece at this moment it would cost so little that we all could come?

Lets see if they adopt the drachma again, if they do, perhaps the prices will drop. Costs of food in Greece tripled over night when they adopted the Euro, so perhaps it might do the same when they drop it.

Ex, a cup of coffee was 80 drachmas, once the Euro was put in place the price went to 1 Euro, while at the same time, one Euro was worth ~350 drachmas. The implementation of the Euro was flawed from the start, who interestingly enough, are the same "experts" who have been handling the debt crisis. You'd think they'd learn. wtf

Mind you as I understand it, the prices of food and drink have not been effected yet, the prices of homes and stuff have been however, and based on the prices I saw in Greece for say groceries back when I went to visit in 2009, it would be cheaper for me to host it here then there. I could buy food imported from Greece here for less money then I could buy it there. Laughing

Anyways plans changed, wife bought a range hood too, at first I thought I was going to forgo that, guess not, anyways installed the false wall, and the 4 plug box I want installed at the location I measured out so that it won't interfere with the tiles that will be placed.

Interestingly though, the range hood came with no wire, so got some AC90 and ran it and used some Marretts to tie it in. Left the wire long so that the Electrician once I call him in can route it below the cabinets freely.

Dimitry,
Nice job of the kitchen, showed my wife and she asked where the dishwasher was..... I told her that was your job!, hope you don't mind.

She said it was a bit small for her though......trust me she makes a mess when she cooks....it's worth it for the food , but I do hate the clean up -my job.

Congrats on your relationship blooming.

Well this is the dishwasher:

It isn't my job. Actually for that matter, she hates it when I wash the dishes, she claims I do a lousy job. Very Happy

Its small, but working on it, and being able to swing around my 180cm, and 95kg body, freely and not actually feel confined, I'm getting used to the size of the kitchen. Could also help that growing up and living in some smallish apartments I have, I'm used to non-full size kitchens. Laughing

Still the wife is more then happy and she considers it more then large enough, because apparently, some of her families kitchens in China are only 1-2 square meters, apparently the kitchen is a "forgotten" room to Chinese architects, they prefer large bedrooms and large living rooms. Even larger 100+ square meter (1000+ square feet) apartments like one of her friends has a smaller kitchen then this one. wtf

Holy crap!
Our house here is 260M/Sq thats about 2600 sqr feet. Our last kitchen had a 5 M island bench, and as I said when SWMBO made a mess it was the entire bench! Although the meals were worth it.
I don't know how I'd adjust to a small apartment. I did try one for two weeks while I was being trained as a CSI years ago....I hated it. Middle of Auckland city (our largest city) and no space, no transport, and no ability to commute anywhere cause it wasn't that safe at night.
Give me wide open spaces.... I guess I'd like places like Montana and Washington State, those big areas of nothing suit me to the ground.

Radar, I think when you want to change to a small apartment you have to start with looking for a tiny chinese woman as Dimitri did. But certainly on this moment the Greek have a much smaller view than the Aussies. When democraty was invented in Greece, so is lucrative accountancy I think.
The Greek might think different than the world, look at Dimitri: he looks for(and finds!) a woman that fits in his house... we all had to look for a house that fits our women...

And you will find that the house will need to expand with her
