Remington Model 798 and 799

Folks,

Any thoughts on Remington's new rifles based on the Mauser 98 action?

These are the same Zastava commercial rifles that used to be sold by Charles Daly. Remington is now marketing them and the prices went up. All the best...

I hope Remington does alright with them,I wonder how the price will compare to a 700.The Remington rifle that caught my eye is the new Model 7CDL

Thanks for the link mate. Hey, that is one nice looking rifle, well in the pic anyway. Will be definitely having a look at one when they get out here...in about 5 years I reckon. Laughing
