Nakedness is natural, it is the interpretation of some religion that made it "shameful" to be naked.
Like copulation, all living being is naturally born or grown or hatch with an instinct to further the species.
However, again it is (certain) interpretation of religion that made it "dirty" to think of copulating.
Yeah original Olympic athletes are rumored to be competing in the nude, and they are all male, and I believe there are NO female spectators allowed.
I guess if the athletes are female then similarly there wouldn't be any male spectator allowed?

Yup...all blokes...no wimmens allowed.
My original post wasn't tongue in cheek...I think it would be great to see a competition in the original sports, with the original rules and with the original prizes...a green laurel only. There would be no professional athletes involved...none of the elite athletes would be interested, it would be beneath them...so it would be the games for real people.
Suz...you would be welcome to patrol the stands with your switch keeping the guys in line, of course.
A little trivia...The Games weren't always called the Olympics...that name has evolved over a number of centuries...
How the Olympics got named
A slave call girl from Sardinia named Gedophamee was attending a great, but as yet unnamed, athletic festival 2500 years ago in Greece.
In those days the athletes performed naked. That may explain the high number of injuries back then.
To prevent unwanted arousals while competing, the men imbibed freely on saltpeter before and throughout the variety of events.
At the opening ceremonial parade Gedophamee observed the first wave of naked magnificent males, marching toward her.
She exclaimed: " OH!! Limp pricks!"
Over the next two and a half millennia that morphed into " Olympics".
Cheers, Vince

In the original "games" only the military men competed. They did so to gain rank and honor among their comrads at arms.
Maybe we could hold the olympic games instead of wars....
the usa better get to training their soldiers to win!

Funny joke Vince, regretfully in Greek the wording she'd have used was "O, chalaros poutsas"

Pretty much. Even the modern Olympics as they started back up focused on similar war related events, verses today with synchronized swimming and trampoline? I mean really those are forms of dance not sport, let alone sports for a Olympic games.
Mind you back then they also did not let warring states to participate in the events if they did not call a truce/cease fire first. And a minimum of 10 months of training before the games, and they'd weed out the weaker athletes in the months before the games to make sure only the top few competed in the games themselves.
Plus if you give up and don't compete after signing up there was corporal punishment to teach you a lesson, plus fines.
Yup, a old style Olympic games would work out well today.
