Having an enjoyable time shooting Clays at our club last weekend...then the kangaroos decided to come out of the bush and start nibbling the nice fresh green grass shoots in the middle of the range.

The 'roos were about 25 metres out from the traphouse, which means we were actually shooting clays directly over their heads. Rather than take a chance at hitting any of them (it's actually illegal according to our National Body's Rules) we decided to "move them along". My shooting buddy jumped on the ride on mower and chased them away...well at least out of the way. They came back within about 20 minutes, by which time we had finished shooting for the day.

the harrier hawks come as soon as they hear a shotgun over here as they have learnt to associate it with food.

What suburb Vince?

Clontarf, near Redcliffe, Tiks.

There is a fairly healthy population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos around this area.

In Google Maps go to Dufflield Rd Clontarf QLD...go to the left, past the refuse transfer station and past the Peninsular Animal Aid...you will see our grounds to the left. The Clubhouse and DTL tracks are a give away. Laughing

Yup- damn things (Coopers here). Birds clam up and hold darn tight when those things take wing.

I use them to find me birds sometimes. They got the veiw!

Vince we got the same thing with gulls and crows. They'll see some chips fly and go after them, wads on the ground etc. ....squad leader 'll be all WAITWAITWAITWAIT! Laughing Smart ones fly REAL high.
