Wow, fast shipping

So I ordered my new Lefty Savage 17HRM Saturday... was at lunch today at a different sporting goods story looking for a .17 Dewery cleaning rod... I have it in hand looking it over when I get a call from the ranch supply store I ordered my gun from ($204) saying it just arrived! That was only the 3rd day after ordering... wow! Shocked

I have it out in my truck atm and will stop off at another store to look over scopes and get some bases. Cant wait to get out and give it a try this weekend if the weather is nice and my "Honeydo" list isnt overwhelming. Confused

Its been a few years since I bought a new gun so its amusing to feel like a kid with a bit of excitement again LOL Very Happy

Stock is a bit lighter than I prefer... I might strip and refinish it. The action needs a little polishing too but overall it seems like a fine gun.

Congrats on the new toy hope its a shooter. I am hopeing to get to the range this weekend as well and shoot my new savage i just haven't had the time lately Confused

Hello Joe,

I made my first trip of the year to the range last Sunday. Spring came so quickly this year. We're about a month ahead of the norm. I wanted to try out my new Remington 700BDL in .25-06 since I had never fired one.
The kick isn't too bad although it has one hell of a loud bark to it. It also spits out the longest flame from the barrel I've ever encountered. I wasn't too impressed with the grouping, about 1" (5 at 100yds), but that's with factory fodder. I should do better with my handloads. I'm looking forward to a lot of range time this year. Howdy Cal. I am gonna try and go this weekend it's just bin hard to find the time lately. I am gettin divorced and my (wife) works night shift so i have my daughter every night

and i am very happy i do. But i'm not gonna drag her to the range for the day so every other weekend i try to go just lately every chance i have had it rained Sad

but its suppose to be decent this weekend and it's my wifes weekend so it should work out Very Happy
