Don'cha just love all these regulations? Love it in the country here in Missouri. Cut my own winter fire wood on my own property. No permit. Just a chainsaw, can of gas/oil mix, axe, sledge and a wedge.
California has the same law or requirement. Had a live oak in my back yard and wanted it out of there. I was informed that it was endangered species. Damn right it was. Where's my chainsaw.

we have firewood galore this year as a big wind came through a month or so back and tipped trees over all around the show.

Whether you get a permit from the city or the power company cuts it down, you still get to pay for it, right?
