Far as I know the Oregon web site still does not work and has yet to take any applications. It gets a lot of hype on the news lately because they want to impress the fact that the Republicans are going to use ObamaCare's failure against them. So they're telling us what a great success it is, making the Republicans scramble for ways to counter attack. All the Republicans have to do is set the numbers straight and impress on us how obscene the cost has been and will be.

We have a population of approx. 313 million and subtract 7 million from that what'er you left with? 306 million. As of 2012 (census bureau numbers) there were 47 million without health insurance, subtract 7 million from that what'er you got? 40 million. Not a real popular idea to spend more and get less, so those without can afford some.

It's like telling us we have to buy a real expensive Yugo that falls apart in pot-holes, so the poor people can afford a Mercedes subsidized by the government. Similarly I don't have a sidewalk in front of my house or street light near it, but a block away is government low income housing with all the bells and whistles including a nice day-care facility with free lunch programs. Yes they're getting more than they're paying for.

The O administration has always emphasized the inequality of rich and poor and tries it's darndest to pit one against the other, but the real-life situations have turned table. The poor are better off being poor.

Sue, you forgot to factor in that 6 million lost their insurance. All that money for basically no gain.

Truly SlimJ! and think of all the money you've spent in the past on health insurance, now you have to spend twice as much and get even less in return so that someone less blessed can get the whole sha-bang for a discounted premium that you never qualified for.....ever! Blessed are those that pay taxes to support government programs and damned are those that pay taxes to support the hand-outs that lead us to a welfare state that will forever be perpetuated by the government that gives what it doesn't have a right to give.

Work hard because the handouts are just beginning and we need lots of tax money to cover it. On the other hand don't work hard because you don't have to and you'll still get the benefits of someone who is better off than you, someone who worked hard so you didn't have to, someone who got an education through sweat equity and hard study and testing and trials.

The big O himself has stated that you no longer have to work several jobs to afford health insurance. Well mine would amount to an extra house payment per month (if I could afford it) and somehow I'm supposed to be able to afford to pay for others to get health insurance? His big successful health insurance plan helps very few and screws very many hard working tax payers into thinking they have to bale and join the government program. Sure we'll just work 30hr weeks and sit back and enjoy an extra weekend wishing we could afford to go somewhere else. But at least we'll have catastrophic health insurance....comes in handy after only bein able to afford beans and rice....

The health insurance companies have also been screwed, they thought they were getting a never ending supply of customers at the governments expense but what they're getting is costing them their lively-hood with people not being able to afford them anymore. In the future the health insurance companies will become small boutiques only affordable to the wealthy (government employees). Lookin more like Mexico all the time isn't it? We'll be there in a minute, just wait for it. You want to see some less funny and more upsetting stuff just do a search for older news of ObamaCare when it was first mandated and before it was a law. Oh there are so many misconceptions, really? they seemed to have become very true and even scarier than predicted.

I looked into it and then opted out. It is quite a process but I am legally opted out of Obummer (doesn't) care and I found out that I have a low enough taxable income that I don't even have to file. Thank you IRS!
