I gotta try trout one day...I believe it is nice. Does it taste link white fleshed salt water fish or maybe salmon?

I'm the same way mate. Prefer trout over salmon, but Deb is opposite. I do get to eat trout sometimes.

Trout rolled in cornmeal, salt, pepper and garlic. Fried in a pan with bacon.

Trout is a very light tasting fish and too much salt, pepper and garlic can over ride the trout.. Don't over cook.

You can eat the bacon too.

+1 on the dont over cook thing. 1 minute would be maximun in fry pan..sort of like a steak..cook one side to chrisp it then turn for short while..goes pale when done.
wee salmon in lb range are awesome quick fried in butter.

Methinks I'll have to source some trout. None up this way to catch...too hot.

Now I see what you meant about "wrigglers" in the txt (SMS)
you sent me last night - nice trout. Great eating. But I'll be more than happy with my deer …..

Found a seafood store today that had Victorian fresh Rainbow Trout for only $6 a piece. Grabbed a nice size one and plan on baking it tomorrow night with some lemon, thyme and garlic chives.

Thanks mate. I will wrap it in alfoil to make sure it doesn't overcook.
