Out here, it's not so much as land as it is where you live. Sure, you can have a big chunk of land (few hundred acres even more) and only pay a thousand or so bucks for all of the land........However, if you put any kind of house/cabin/trailer and have to use ANY state/city resource (water, gas, electric, sewer) then your property is rated differently and your taxes will sky rocket! Shocked

A friend of mine is having a house built in a city called Farmington Hills, his house is about 10,000 square on aprox 3/4 acre and after it's all said and done those taxes are close to 6 figures Shocked
