Never seen a bear in my state... kindof odd now that I think about it and the amount of time I spend in the mts. Cougars are about the same way, rare to ever see one... in fact I saw my first one ever last winter.

I guess I am lucky. I have seen both bears and cougars (the two and four legged variety of each). I have raised black widow spiders and hunted rattle snakes for food. I don't think they would like me much down under... I won't give up my right to defend myself and those I care about.
