Nice doco to know that I have been doing it right all along.
2208 = varget I think.

Yep...2208 is marketed as Varget by Hogdons. That is a “belly flopper” load mate, designed for the shooters that wear leather jackets with stiffening panels and straps to hold them rigid while shooting at targets. Their rifles are generally high precision pieces of kit that only ever get carried from the car to the shooting mound and back again. Interesting that the NRAA are producing “factory loads” considering they are basically only a shooting club/association.

so are they trying to duplicate an existing military loading??? looks like a humdinger of a load all the same. I will stick to my 180grn round nose jobbies for now with maybe some lightweight varmint type loads in the future.

Regardless, I have been loading mine exactly as that for a while.
I use the Zmax zombie pellets for them rather than the Palma Match king tho.
Gave good result in my ruger, not too bad recoil either.

fair enough.....might look at them if can find them cheap...they sure are good in .223.
