Now that Teflon Tony has won again (we get what we deserve!) and the Nanny State are still ensconced in government, we will - no doubt - soon have some new gun laws to be getting on with:
(1) Any firearm, air weapon, slingshot or waterpistol shall have to be licensed for use on a "proof of need" basis - e.g. you have to prove you need it to get a license for it.
(2) All live ammunition shall be individually numbered and the numbers recorded on your certificate. Air rifle pellets shall be sold individually and not more than ten pellets shall be in a shooter's possession at any one time. No more than two pebbles may be carried for slingshots and any water used must be softened before use.
(3) MV may not exceed 250fps, ME may be up to 3ft lbs in the case of firearms and 2ft lbs in the case of air weapons. The range of any weapon may not exceed 40ft.
(4) All live ammunition must have soft felt padding on the nose of the bullet to negate any possibility of death or serious injury to any person or creature struck by said bullet. Pebbles must have an outer coating of polystyrene at least half the thickness of the missile for use in slingshots.
(5) No weapon discharge shall exceed 35db at the muzzle in case it disturbs the conversation of nearby tree huggers.
(6) Any air rifle pellet may not exceed 8gr in mass lest it injure an insect if inadvertently dropped whilst said weapon is being loaded.
(7) None of the above regulations shall apply if the weapon is being used for criminal purposes, or by known criminals. Special regulations are already in force to cover this and the courts have been instructed to come down heavily on known offenders. On first conviction, these people shall be given a severe talking to. If a repeat offender, a Community Service Order is not out of the question.

Sorry to see that Tony was re-elected. I cringe when anti-gun politicians in the U.S point to Great Britain as an example of "reasonable" gun control laws. I am glad to be a Life Member of the NRA and vote. All the best...

British politician, what else do you think he is? They have two types - anti-gun and rabidly anti-gun.

Try being an Olympic pistol competitor in the UK. Tell 'em about it delboy.
