I just picked up a new CZ 75B to be friends with my 9mm. This one is 40 caliber
Although it looks the same from a distance it is wider in the barrel and slide than the 9mm but the grip is nearly identical. I think that's because it is a sing stack 10 round mag. I think there are 14 round double stacks available. I'll have to order a few before the state bans them.
I can't say I am any better armed but I do have more choices than I did ten years ago.

Is Suz dancing somewhere for rain? Or has her moon lost its way and is she traveling the net in circles now?

I'm of the school that believes "bigger is better". I believe there's plenty of anecdotal evidence to prove that the .45 is a much better man stopper than the 9mm with a single shot...and the .40 is a flea's whisker behind the .45ACP. There is a good reason many Police Depts have switched over to the .40 as their Duty Gun. Granted, the 9mm carries more rounds in the magazine, but apart from the reason that there is room for more, I think you need more.
I sorta look at it along the lines of it's better to smack someone in the head with a sledge hammer than a tack hammer, or better to be hit with a thin stick than a log...unless it's one of Suz's switches, in which case I'm heading for the ladder to |
Should have stated I'm the 1911 acp type,,,,,,,

9mm bullets have improved dramatically in the last 5 years. I'm good will carrying a subcompact 9mm and can still control it even as light as it is.
I should have stated I'm the Glock Type.

Always room for another gun. I like a story with a happy ending. All the best...

I totally agree that the 9mm is not a good choice for protection. I bought mine to play 3 gun. The 40 is actually a good substitute for the 45 ACP.
Besides I have my "American Express" gun... a 357 and I rarely leave home without it.
I also have a 45 Colt so I have lots of choices.
