WOW! I've just been looking through the new Hornady catalog. LOTS of good stuff! Very Happy

The 375 Ruger cartridge looks like a good one, and it is said to outstrip the old 375 H&H with a standard action and 20" barrel.

And the 30 TC. .308 capacity, better performance than the '06? From a 20 in. barrel? Shocked

And the .450 Bushmaster. Hmmmm....might not be as useless as I thought at first.

Will the .308 Marlin Express do for the 336 what the model 99 did for most calibers? Can the older 336s be rechambered to the Express? For all that, will it be better than the 30-30?

And the BIIIIG question, can all these Super cartridges be handloaded? Will the components be available for John Handloader? The powders that produce the advertised perfomance sound like they may be proprietary blends. Time will tell, I guess.
Any thoughts?

Last time I checked...My .30 WCF was still knockin' them down. I need a new rifle, but I will have to be able to reload for it or I won't buy it... If Hornady is like they are about their .30-30 plastic tipped rounds...No we will not be able to reload these yet...Got to make their money back first...

One thing I dont like about the 450 Bushmaster that I've seen at Hornady's site that it requires "specially designed" magazines. Which in my opinion makes the 50 Beowolf better as your not modifying/getting new magazines if you do already own a AR-15. Smile

The 30 TC wouldn't be good for reloaders. I'm willing to bet its the same powder they use in their "Light Mag" ammo line, thats why it can reach to 30-06 specs. Sad So my money is that this round is gonna die off, if you want a 308Win but with 30-06 specs you can use the 308Win Light Mags from Hornady but at the same time use standard ammo you can get practicly anywhere if you run out or decide to reload with regular powders. Smile
