Just saw a line they are importing from Russia. Single shot break open rifles and shotguns. I think some of the shotguns are in doubles (side by side and O/U)

yup saw one at a gander mnt and they don't look too bad tight action, swings well and very inexpensive, about $400 I think they had it for new. now the wood work isn't the best, but what do you expect for that price? btw this was an o/u.

I saw single rifles in the $265.00 to $300.00 range. Don't know if they'll shoot with the NEF offerings, but I'd like to take a look at one.

Do you mean the Spartan shot guns? I hear they're pretty good.

Hoffman,
Yes they are Spartan shot guns, any rifle/shotgun Remington sells that starts with "S" (like SPR) is for the "Spartan Gun Works" line.

I understand that the new Remington shot guns are being made by Baikal of Russia. Baikal is probably the premier Russian shotgun maker. Not fancy, but stout. The only gun most Russians are allowed to own is a shotgun, so Baikal is not new to the game.
