Africa always has an appeal, however, N American game is where my "dream hunt" resides with Coues deer and Dall sheep.

The highest scoring Coues buck I have shot is a tad under 110 points and my dream is a 125. Dall Sheep conjurs visions of Jack O'Connor and the wilds of Alaska. For many sheep hunting is the most physically challenging.

Dreams come true! My son and I head for the Brooks Range for Dall in August 2008. That might be time enough to get in shape. Maybe. My "little boy" killed an 80" moose that has officially gone B&C (see "fairchase hunts" for a photo) when he hunted Alaska this past September. Alaska, for me, gets the blood boiling.

Welcome SAhunter, been to your neck of the woods. Landed in Jo'berg and took off from there, beautiful country. SA is one of the cleanest countries I have been to, friendly folks. Hunted with Carl and Cariel of Grass Land Safaris. Good folks who specalize in birds.

You do not have far to go, to do a dream hunt, for the rest of us.
Howdy
