Hey All, Just wanted to share these pics. I got my first ever deer Sat Oct 6 2007. He is a 4 X 4 taken with a 30-06 and 150gr ammo at 100 yards. I was hunting up in Bushmasters old neck of the woods, (sort of) This is South of Lake Tahoe Ca, Zone X-8. I have been trying for more years than I want to remember and I was lucky enough to get a pretty good sized deer, (By Ca. standards anyway) for my first, he dressed out at 110 lbs. If you look in the gallery that I think I uploaded the pictures into, You will also see my sons first deer. His is a 2 by 2 with very small forks, (and I say that only because the pictures don't show them very well). He was shooting a 7mm Mag also with 150gr. ammo. His shot was at 25 yds. We got them within an hour of each other so it was a very special deal for us. The does in the gallery were running with my sons buck, the pictures were taken after he took his shot and they just stood around.

A very proud and happy Dad

Tim

Thanks Joe, I just looked at the albums and the other photos are not in there yet. I will check back Tues and look. If they are not I will try to upload them again. I am pretty much computer illiterate so I figure I probably messed it up. I am not sure I don't think that they are too bad but I have faith in Dallan and the other moderators so there decisions will stand.

Tim

Good job! Very special you and your son each getting one that day.
My 10 year old grandson got his first game animal while with me this year-a squirrel. He was thrilled and so was I, so I can feel your joy about the deer.
