Nice idea, but just in case you didn't know just how far we have come in the home computer world (PC's)...Here is a look at what The Rand company in 1960 +/- 2 years predicted that a home(PC) computer would look like in 2004...Just thin how far we really have come.

The hand writting on the top of the picture is wrong I think, says the computer is supposed to be for a model for a computer in 2004, but it says in 50 years, making me think the picture is actually from 1954.
Who would have guess that such a short span, from wanting to build big calculators to target bombers computers would be small enough to be portable in someones hand with the power many times greater then best computers of the 50's and 60's. Both as Palm Pilots and as thouse new "micro-laptops" they are selling.

I will promise you, Big D, that they didn't have TV's like that one hanging from the wall in 1954. I took the picture from a 1960's Popular Mechanics magazine years ago and put it away and found it a few years ago again when I was moving. Oh...And that is my handwriting (printing)...

Neat Bushy,
Still then I find it odd it says "50 years from now" when refering to 2004.

Maybe they are speculating on what a computer will look like in 2004, but the technology will not be available until 2014...Maybe Popular Mechanics used a photo from a much earier time and reprinted it in the '60s mag...Hell...I don't know...

For some reason, my email notice of messages has failed, sorry for slow response.
I bet I have 3 or 4 boxes around here somewhere. All I would need is a washtub, a keg, a pile of ice, a hose and a CO-2 tap. All I need is a bunch of folks to enjoy it with.
I will make a prediction, within 10 years there will not be a USPS. Email is putting the USPS in a real crunch, lack of mail is what caused the last rate hike and it is getting very cold outside.
