my son in Va. talked me into ML last fall. got a SS .50 barrel for my NEF Handi. fit it with a 2x5x20 Simmons, loaded 120 T7, 180 Hornady sabot. went down to Va. for first day of ML. one deer and one turkey(seasons run concurantly) first deer with a ML and first turkey ever with anything, both shots, about 75 yrds. not bad for a 75 yr. old. even with a shooten stick. diesel

Gil,
Well done! I got a deer in muzzleloading season and really like hunting with the old smokepoles. Take care...
