To reopen this can of worms, I recently read an article about a California group that traps, spay/neuters feral cats, give them shots, etc, then return them to their former digs. The theory being that if they killed them, their place would soon be filled by other cats. The "fixed" kitties can't procreate, so all is well...except for the birds and smaller animals they will kill. WHERE do we get these people?

I'm thinking that a decent varmint call and a .22 Hornet might generate a lot of fun...

Interesting thread. Last year the state of Wisconsin actually tried to put legislation in place to make it a non-chargeable offense to eliminate feral cats. Man you should have heard the uproar!!! All the PETA and other nut cases really got their panties in a bunch. Never really heard how it all came out.
Around here I practice the only Liberal stance that I agree with on cats: Don't ask...don't tell.

SSL,
That's a good one! (Don't ask...don't tell) It got a chuckle out of me.

Y'all are coming up with some good ones. Gosh, I guess I've been down here in the brush too long. That reminds me of a comic strip that I once saw. The setting was a hillbilly cabin in the woods with Ma and Pa sitting in a rocking chair on the porch. In the yard was a dog laying there, with one leg sticking straight up in the air, licking his privates, with their son laying in the same position, doing the same thing to himself. Ma turns to Pa and said: "Pa, we've got to get junior around some other kids!"
