I got the an RCBS 5-0-5 with the Supreme "kit" some time ago. After working up some brass to reload took out the scale to get it setup. When I put it together instead of balancing near center the arm won't raise up no matter how much I adjust the foot. Everything is set to "0". Any ideas? I'll be calling RCBS on Monday to see what they say if I don't get it working. Called them Fri. but they're only open Mon.-Thurs.

I agree with shprshtrjoe, the scale should work if set up properly and the weights adjusted. Can you give us more information so we can focus on the issue? Thanks. All the best...
Gil

Brought mine out and Shrpshtrjoe is the winner. You must have the powder pan in place before you can "0" the scale...

Well I guess I'm feeling a bit stupid about now. When you folks stated "Did you put the pan on?" I'm thinking sure did that. What else could it be? Then Sako comes through for me again with the picture. I had hung the "pan bow" while the pan was still in that wad of "packing paper" I left in the box. Just came up from the basement and it is now balanced. Thanks again guys. Didn't expect this much help this fast. You're great.

Glad you got it all worked out.

Now a super trick tip: visit Midwayusa.com and buy their powered powder trickler, and a lee Perfect Powder Measure (if your kit didnt come with a powder measure). Both are pretty cheap. Set the Powder Measure to throw charges .5 to 1 grn short of your target weight. Throw a charge in the pan, put it on the scale then hit the power trickler to bring it right up to perfect balance. Its pretty quick and man did my Std Dev of load velocitys drop.
