Look who came home?

Well after many sleepless nights my baby boy Matt is home from Afghanistan for 2 weeks, I got to hug him and tell him how much I missed him and he ask for the keys to the car and now he is gone. I think I will see him late tonight again or maybe tomorrow who knows but it sure feels good.

GREAT! Tell him we are prouid of him and his compadres.

Remember, he is still quite young. He can carry a man's duty and responsibility, carry a man's load in the field and do a man's job on the line but he is still very young. He needs the "keys" for awhile, just to let down from a man's world a few days.

Well said wncchester...never a truer word was spoken. Matt will be carrying images, fears and memories from his time in combat...some good, others very much the opposite. He needs people around him who love and support him to give him time to deal with everything in his own time...be there to give him a shoulder to cry on, and lean on if he needs it. Also be prepared to pick up the pieces if he "falls over".

Give him my regards and tell him not to lock those that care for him out of his thoughts.
