Polishing brass cases has become a ritual I gladly perform. They look good and, it makes sense, they are less wearing on the loading dies and , perhaps, feed better. Clean cases also tell us about our load, whether we get excessive soot on the mouth or whether there are revealed imperfections in the brass such as hairline cracks or split necks.

I sold my Lyman Turbo vibratory case cleaner a year ago. It was a good piece of equipment but had a capacity that was too small for the amount of handgun brass I clean. A Dillon CV500 took its place and along with it a Dillon Media Seperator. My only regret has been not making the switch earlier.

The Dillon has a far greater capacity and is both smoother in operation and quieter. The Media Seperator works as advertised and shortens the time needed to get all the media out of the cases. For those that own Dillon Progressives this comes as no surprise.

If you are considering a vibratory cleaner, this model warrants your evaluation.

I realize a Dillon tumbler is probably the best out there, but it's also probably the most expensive. I'm quite satisfied with the Lyman Turbo Tumbler. I load it with walnut media that already contains jewellers rouge, and it does a great job. To each his own I guess. Best wishes.

All of my reloading products are Dillon. I just had a problem with my electronic digital scale (the original Dillon De-Terminator) where it would not recalibrate. I contacted Dillon and explained the problem and the asked me to send it in to them.

They had REPLACED the unit with the newest model they have and there was absolutely NO Charge!! Cool Their products may cost a little more initially,... but with their "NO-BS" Warranty it is well worth the price they asked up front.

These people will ALWAYS have my business !! Very Happy

There is no doubt that Dillon has great CS because with what very few products i own of theirs, they have been great with solving the problems i've had. But i'd never give up my Lyman tumblers either, and i can also vouch for their CS being great as well.

Take care.

It will be a Dillon, but first, I have to wear out my old Midway, and it doesn't seem to be ready to go yet. The separators are worth it.

Talk about famous last words! Mad I put about 200 357 magnum cases in the Midway tonight, left it for about 1 1/2 hours, and when I returned, it was not running. The motor burned out. After 1/2 hour unplugged , the metal was still hot enough to burn my hand.

I just looked at the Dillons. WOW! Way more expensive than the last time I checked.

Maybe I will buy another one from Midway. All was not lost, though. The brass was finished. Does anyone know where I can buy a motor/vibrator unit so I might be able to repair it?

Cool I have an old rotary rock tumbler that holds @ 1 gallon that I got in the early 80s in California at a gunshow for $5.00 because the guy said it was for rocks and he couldn't use it for cases! wtf I also have 2 Lyman Turbos and one Frankfort Arsenal from Midway, they are still going after 10 plus years. I can't see spending what Dillon wants for their tumblers when with what I save I can buy media for a long time. Cool

Several years back when my third Lyman burned up and quit I gave up on them. Besides, when the Lyman was running I had to leave the room and the neighbors down the street complained about the noise.

Bought the Dillon about 8-9 years ago and it's been smooth, quiet and flawless ever since. How many Dillon's could I have bought with the money I didn't spend on 3 or 4 more Lyman's ??
