Now if we can get the chrono to download the info directly into PointBlank...

I use a printer on my Chrony, stick the printout in the box of spent cases after shooting and then enter in to PointBlank when I get home. I guess I could start carrying a laptop to the range, as if I'm not carrying enough junk already!

Bushmaster,
Me too. My Pact model 1 keeps everything in memory long enough for me to note the data in my range book. When I get home I get to put it all into the computer to run ballistics on it. It's all part of the game for me. Then I print out the data to put in my record book.......
I have loads from back when I was using a lee loader and a mallet....
Now that is high tech!

Nah bushy.. its just the dogs imported to Australia has been busy and confusing the gene pool of these "native" Australian dogs.
Over killing in the guise of pests control and fox baits also took a large toll on these animal.

Wouldnt eat any meat eating animal in the bush mate. Never know what you gonna catch later on.. also, Meat eaters are generally unedible anyhow.. Except of course in Asia (eg.china) - Just been to a restaurant that actually serve dog meat.. lost my apetite..

I believe the data off a chrony is in RS232 format.. Cant remember.. try and see if they actually give any input into your terminal program. Try 2400 baud.
If it is than its not hard to make a macro to convert the data into PointBlank..

Gelan, good idea! Would be a fun project too. I'll check with Chrony to see about format and pinout needed.

Crusty and semperfaux...Welcome to this fine site. Pull up a stump and grab a beer.

I'm begining to worry about you guys that keep getting revenge on an inatimate item and shootin' yer chrongraphs. I've only nicked mine when I was starting out with my Pact Mod 1. Learned that when using a scoped rifle you had to set the rifle a few inches higher or you would be a bit low when going across the sensors. 'course I don't have to worry about hitting my read out display and all the electronics... Very Happy

or when your .300 whisper bullet exploded when exiting the barrel because of the extreme RPM generated by the barrel twist..

Kapow!!! No more chrony.. Lucky I could fix mine..

Semperfaux, a progress report....
if you read the post time of my comment,
you could see that there is barely 18 hours pass since I wrote that post to the time you replied to it.

There are a few reason that I could not even attempt to actualise the idea until at least 500 hours has pass from now.
If you read some of my recent posts, you may realize that my (shotup and battered) Chrony is 9000 kms (6000 miles) away from me.
Of course I could fast forward the progress if My time is fully compensated.

All good things takes time and free stuff takes even longer.
If you got to be a bit impatient, you may want to help by checking out
the output data format from the chrony.
Any help would be good.

Otherwise, patience is a virtue.
