I always thought the old saying was....don't squat with your spurs on. I quess squatting on a cactus would be just as bad, except you'd find out who your friends are when you ask them if they'd pull the thorns out.

Here's mine, made in a crockpot:
2.5 lbs Venison browned before adding into the pot
2 cans of tomato sauce
2 cans of chili beans
1 can hormel chili with no beans, hot variety
1 large onion
5 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
about 2 tablespoons franks hot sauce
depending on how spicy you like it, I also add some El Yucateco chile habanero hot sauce
I let it cook for about 8-9 hours, then eat it with some homemade cornbread. I like spicy chili, add less chili powder and hot sauce for taste.
