True Longwalker, but when a factory plug isn't included (and not that i'm cheap) why install it? I'm still perfectly legal with the 5+1 i normally carry anyway.
Upon principal is what i base my somewhat rant on, because yes i am a law abiding citizen and if i do get caught without a plug, they can say what they want but i can't be thrown in jail for 2-15rnd mags with 5 rounds in each and a total of 11, 10MM rounds.

I was already a part of the USSR of Ca. AKA Caliban or Kaliban and like to be AT the law regarding firearms.....not "left" of the law. Very Happy

There is no way to own a firearm, especially a handgun, in this state and be legal...

OK we all agree, California is a great place............. to visit.
Freedom arms is pushing a new 50 cal of there own, The model 83 in 50 Wyoming Express. Looks like its the smallest 50 caliber cartridge out there to mee, even smaller than the 500 linebaugh(over all lenght)

I heard about Freedom Arms doing this but i don't think i'd like a "belted" revolver myself. Confused That is if they are still thinking producing it with a belt like i've heard last....
I've also heard they are dropping the 50AE which i actually liked. Sad

I guess it won't be too bad though but it seems since the S&W 500 everybody wants a 50 caliber pistol/revolver now when it used to be only a select few that would dare shoot anything over a 44 mag (like me Very Happy ).

I've also heard the working life of the brass is only 10 loads because the belt grows every time its shot. I;ll stick with my 50ae DEP & BFR's , I've got brass here for those that have had 15 or 20 or more loads through them and no problems. (starline brass) I do not shoot full power in the BFR, you have to in the DEP for function's sake.

You guys tough. I feel like a wimp shooting a straight walled 44 magnum. Why in the heck would someone make a belted magnum for a pistol. With the belt wouldn't you have to have a clip, for extraction?

Not in a single action the ejector rod takes care of that

There is no reason you should feel like a wimp by any means! I've actually seen a 'novice shooter' try and think a 44mag was nothing until he was knocked on his a$$ when i put Garrett rounds in there. He had ONLY shot 180 gr. rounds and never tried anything above 240 gr. so you could imagine the sight and ridicule a 245 pound "big man" got when a little straight walled 44 mag put him in his seat. Very Happy

Be aware that I practice with a Ruger Blackhawk with iron sights and 6.5" barrel at 100 yard targets. That is free style standing two hand.
