Mad Had a bad day at work so I grabbed the BFR a box of 50 rounds and headed out for some good old fashioned shooting therapy. I put a scope on it a couple weeks ago and have been shooting it to make sure the scope holds together. I was noticing that it seemed pretty accurate for just out of the box. I decided to bag it tonight and I am amazed at the results. I didn't adjust the az or the elev at all, off hand I can hold a 3 inch pattern at 30 yards just playing around. At 30 yards with a bag I almost had a perfect 5 shot group. I am just amazed at the accuracy of the scope out of the box. I wanted to go in the woods to my 50 and 100 yard ranges. I haven't mowed it in a month or so and the mosquito's and deer flies are on a feeding frenzy right now. As soon as I get brave enough to face the bugs I am going to get down to serious work and zero it and start practicing out to 100 yards. Very Happy Cool

I was thinking different type of therapy.

I had my first session with Physical Therapy for my finger today. Had to have a nerve put back together about a week ago. She said I had good range for a "factory rat" my words not her's. At least once a week for as long as I have this stupid brace!!! Another month give or take.

Been where you are, actually still there I get a lot of trips to the VA over the last couple of years.

The shooting therapy is very important in my life, I haven't found anything better to take my mind off work.

I am very impressed with my BFR it is way more accurate then I had expected from a handgun. Now I can't wait to find out how far I can push the range. Of course the range I have set up right now is only 100 yards, with just a little work I could make 150 but that's it. I guess I will have to fire up the tractor and brush hog to make a new range.

By the way the first target is a five shot group, four in one hole and I got cocky and pulled the last shot. wtf

I have to go about once a week or two at the most or I'll go nuts.

I use to joke with co-workers about going to anger management classes!!! (44 mag w/300gr XTP’s loaded w/H110)

One day a boss came over to check on me and to see how my anger management classes were going. I was dumb founded at first and couldn’t believe some idiot had actually gone to management knowing full well it was nothing more than joking around. But the guy that I am Very Happy ......................... I just had to play along and have some fun with it Shocked .............................Trust me I’ll never do that again!!! Yuck
The look on my bosses face was definitely a Kodak moment and priceless. Watching him go from a concerned person to a person who definitely wanted to be somewhere else was a hoot to say the least. He tried several times to get away from me but I would grab his arm and turn him back and kept right on talking. I had full intentions of getting my dollars worth out of this one. I just wish I could have found out who sent him over!!!

I hate it when I can't see the bullet holes in the scope when I shoot.
This way a blind man can see them....

I also need to take in some gunpowder smoke atleast once a month. I think I'm addicted to the stuff. The other day my brother-in-law and I went to shoot our .22s. At first we were just going to make sure they were sighted in... 4 hours later were still shooting. I guess we just couldn't get enough smoke in us. ROFL Sniper Insane

Ah the smell of cordite in the morning.

Now it's time to reload from last night, another very relaxing therapy.

Now that was refreshing. Another 50 rounds loaded up for the BFR. My son works on the road during the week and he should be home tomorrow night or Saturday am. I know he wants to go to the gun shops and go out and play with his 450 so there should be plenty of shooting this weekend. Maybe I can even get him to mow the range and get the long guns out.
