o.k. this may flop, but since I'm getting a little input on which hat to purchase I thought it deserved its own thread. So if your personality is portrayed by yours let's see it.

Gelan, thanks. I'm already long time watching out for a decent hat and you pointed out real nice ones + they are also sold in Germany...
but is not going to be easy. For me, when it fits it's OK, I don't see it myself Smile but I have to get the blessings of the rest of my family (and my dogs...) and that will take a lot of time.

I find that hats are a lot like bumper stickers...
They are a snapshot of one side of your personality and can misleading to the whole person.

I think Suz has some pretty good taste in hats. I have to admit to owning a Stetson.

I'm a schizo as far as hats go:

Bush hat
Baseball cap
Knitted wool
Balaclava
Slouch

They all serve a purpose depending on what I'm doing & where I am.

Straw Stetson, a dress (black) Stetson, an old (black) Resistal with stampede string (my riding and everyday hat) and an old Resistal Silver Belly.

I wear ball cap styles a lot but I also wear my Renegade quit a bit and an older Black Stetson sometimes.

I tend to wear baseball type caps the majority of the time, although I do have others, I have over 40 baseball style caps, that I wear according to the occasion.

When out hunting I vary between a black wool beanie, a cam Kepi or my Frill Neck sun cap.

Cheers, Vince

Everyday wear is a ball cap, camo of course. But getting dressed up just requires a black Stetson, and according to my wife a shave.

Have always wore a hat of some kind. I like wide rimmed breathable hat for hike/backpacking, working outside, etc. I bought a Tilley T2 in 1986. True to their guarentee they have replaced it 3 times now. I sweat a lot! No matter how I clean them, the cotton just breaks down.
I'm looking for a soft wide rimmed hat this water proof and maybe some insulation inside for winter, camo would be great.
